I finally named these little things.

Wickles are shy little creatures that are good friends to sprites. What these little things actually are is kind of unknown. There are stories that say they are enchanted critters that are half candle and half bird, while other stories say they are merely creatures of their own. Because of their shyness, Wickles rarely ever come around humans, and find their home among sprites and their secret world. They usually seek out dark places, though they will come out in light on occasion.

Wickles come in all shapes, sizes, and colors—some of them even resemble species of birds. And there are the bat Wickles that like hanging out in castles of dark sprites. The flame of a Wickle has no heat and is not dangerous as its looks might suggest. Some say that a Wickle’s flame is its heart, and it burns as long as the Wickle is alive.
