I’m finally getting a photo of these uploaded. I made them some weeks ago, but just haven’t had time to take a proper photo until now. Things have just been SO crazy busy around here.
From left to right: 9th , 10th, and 11th. I tried matching each one to the show version as much as possible, considering the fact they’re chibi. 11th is wearing a little fez. 10th is holding his screwdriver. I guess I should have made 9th holding a banana.
I’m really pleased with how all three of these turned out. They do have their small flaws here and there, of which I didn’t really notice until after I had finished them (I always do that for some reason). But at least they were good practice for me.
I do plan to make some of the other Doctors eventually, especially 4th. But it’ll be after I finish my current work and have a little more free time at nights.
Believe it or not, these were actually fairly easy to make. I kinda got some inspiration from looking at other clay artists' works and rolled some of those ideas in with my own. I’ll admit that the coats had me stumped at first (I’ve been trying to work it out for awhile ever since I attempted to make Loki and failed). But after studying some clay figures other artists have already made, I got a pretty good idea of how to do it.
The tiny sonic screwdriver was a last-minute add-on when it comes to the 10th Doctor. I wasn’t going to add it at first, but then I thought... yeah I will. So I did. And I’m actually glad I did now.
Eeeeee! It's so cute!
All three are made out of Sculpey Crafty Clay. Painted with acrylics. Coated with Sculpey Glaze.
These figures are part of my personal collection and are not for sale.
