A couple of baby Adiposes (alien blobs of fat for those who don’t know) from the Doctor Who episode ‘Partners in Crime'... holding hearts.

I made these to give to my parents for Valentine’s Day, instead of the usual cards and standees I’ve been making. Ever since the Doctor Who bug hit my household a few months ago, we’ve been going crazy with Doctor Who stuff. And I really wanted to make some little figures for my parents this Valentine’s Day since I’ve been getting back into my clay sculpting. So I was thinking of what I could make them that would be quick and not real tedious. Since Mom loves the little Adipose, I thought... why not? So, yes, I ended up giving my parents blobs of fat for Valentine's Day. =P They LOVE them.

I feel like these could have come out better than they did, but oh well. The right foot of the one holding the pink heart got messed up somehow. I didn’t notice that it was like that until after I baked it and by then it was too late to fix it. I’m not especially fond of the circles around the eyes. I feel like I made them too deep. Next time I make some, I'll play around with that until I get it like I want.

Made out of Sculpey III and Sculpey Crafty Clay. Details painted with acrylics. Coated with Sculpey Glaze.
